Theerapon Rurngpaisitporn

Hello

My name is Theerapon, and I am an artist from Thailand.

I have received education in the field of art. I love to draw, paint, and sculpt.

In the past, I have created numerous artworks featuring plants and trees because I deeply value the greenery of nature.

Given the current challenge of climate change, I aim to showcase the beauty of nature to inspire people to cherish and protect it.

The elegant shape and form of an elephant, along with its historical significance to the Thai people, has made it an integral part of our lives. It is prominently featured in religious and royal ceremonies. This has been a great inspiration for me in creating this collection.

Elephant and Belief

Humid

Interaction between nature and manmade has never stop to fascinate me. Beauty emanates from the surface of statue covered with moss, fern, and lichens after a long day of rain. It gives me small pleasure to hear the sound of water, to feel the wind, and to sense humidity. I sometimes feel I am part of the sculpture.

Gate

This collection is inspired by my trip to Bali. I was fascinated with the town, the everyday life, and how the locals embrace beautiful nature. The doors of the old gate, Pintu in Indonesian, remind me of happiness and peace in the past. I admire how the locals followed their beliefs and tradition until now.

The Peaceful Smile

My trip to Angkor Thom in Cambodia inspires this collection. The ground is covered with leaves and roots. The interaction between nature - moss, fern, and lichens, and manmade is a perfect reflection of time. I add smiles to faces to give a sense of serenity and to pay homage to Lord Buddha’s compassion.

Hidden

City

HIDDEN CITY

A city born out of my imagination. The time is obscure, yet ancient. Multicultural architecture flourishes in this city. The population is diverse, yet everybody live together peacefully without anger or violence

Green

Peace

For me the color green represents greenery in my garden. There's an indescribable force I sense when I enter the garden each morning. I am intrigued by the union of man and nature that gives birth to inner peace.

Sabai Sabai

When I visited the South of Thailand, the Sino-Portuguese architecture, Chinese furniture, and tropical plants caught my attention. I immediately put all of these things together on canvas when I returned home. Later on, a beautiful woman is added to the picture. I want people to see this picture in the morning while sipping a cup of coffee and feeling relaxed. To me, happiness can be traced back to Lord Buddha’s teaching; “Dharma is Nature”

With a hint of Klimpt, Ernst, Rousseau and Beaux Arts, the paintings in this collection were greatly inspired by the Art Nouveau movement. Concentrating on vertical canvases dedicated to theatrical fantasies and operatic costuming

Present moment

In life, it's common to feel preoccupied with the past or future, causing us to lose focus on the present. It's essential to remember the wisdom of Buddha's teaching: "Be present." This simple yet universal concept is often overlooked. In my artwork, I've combined a lady's face, flowers, brush strokes, geometric shapes, and golden orbs to depict the passage of time at 00:00, symbolizing the transition between past and future. The message conveyed through this painting is that practicing mindfulness in the present moment will lead to greater wisdom and awareness.
